Poems

Words I’d like to call art.

Mine, Wine, Time

I used to whine about how you’re not mine

to my friends, over how I like you a ton

to my cat, and to the bartender downtown

until they’re fed up by me

cause I wasn’t that person before him, but I was after the bloody fist fight; that I didn’t win

now I sit still, cause i’m not feeling alright

you left me wounded on the battle ground

where I lay and hope to be found

now I sip red wine, cause you’re not mine

waiting on you to take your time

so maybe time could heal me too, does it’s magic as it erases you and all the people you loved before too

cause you weren’t mine to lose and now I live in this never-ending loop

I don’t like calling my art poems though much might say so, I never think that my silly little writings are ever good enough to be called “art” I always thought that, that would make actual poets felt invalidated. But if art is whatever the artist thinks is, then I’d like to think that this is art.
